Horse Back Safaris in Oudtshoorn

2014 – New year, new beginning & new challenges! When I meet new people, people who share the same love for nature like I do, it reminds me why I am in this profession.  A recent experience I would like to share with everyone is when the Rowles-family from Switzerland accompanied me on a Horse Back Safari.  Their little girl, Jessica, made me realize how something like a horse could make for a perfect holiday experience in South Africa.  They even sent me a letter from Switzerland to say thanks, which made me feel really proud.  It meant that I have accomplished to bring this family closer to nature, making it an unforgettable experience.

There is just something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.
– Winston Churchill

Horse Back Safaris are one of the activities that  you can do in Oudtshoorn at Buffelsdrift Game Lodge .  An intimate experience in the Klein Karoo, enjoying all the smells of the fynbos and succulent karoo, while viewing game on horse back and seeing a lot of the bird life nature has to offer.  Just imagine – no engine drilling, only the sounds nature combined with the smell of horses. There’s really just that something special about the smell of horses – so all I want to tell you is breathe. Breathe deep, because few will ever understand your love for that “horse smell” or the peace it brings to your soul.  With this thought I want to invite everyone who wants to experience a Horse Back Safari in Oudtshoorn with me – you will experience what I experience every day!
