Buffelsdrift Game Lodge

The service at the Lodge is excellent and the personnel are very professional, helpful and friendly.
The Lodge offers an onsite restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a well stocked bar on each level of the main building. You can enjoy your food or drinks with an exceptional view over the dam where you can observe the 4 Hippos and on most days the elephants and giraffe. The restaurants local cuisine is delicious and offers value for money.

The Lodge offers various onsite facilities and excursions such as a swimming pool, a spa, elephant interaction, lion or cheetah interactions, meerkat tours, evening game drives or bush drives – to name a few.

The tented accommodation is luxurious and caters for your every need.
The accommodation has dam views from your bed, bath and deck. Some of the accommodation is built right next to the dam and this affords you the opportunity to enjoy the wealth of birdlife and observe the Hippos more closely. There are also Nyala (buck) which roam freely between the tents. The tents are equipped with queen size beds, electric blankets, air conditioners, kettle, coffee press and bar fridge with water and a selection of alcoholic drinks. The tents have a freestanding bath and private outside shower. The turn down service before bedtime is also a very nice touch.

If you are wanting a breath of fresh Karoo air or you just need some time out in  nature, then Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is the place to visit. Its not the first time I visit the Lodge and it will definitely not be the last time either.  South African residents have the opportunity to enjoy their winter specials.
